I’ve been exploring how AI can help agency account managers.
Here are three apps you can get started with straight away that’ll help you in your role:
What is it?
A LinkedIn plug-in tool that uses AI to analyse text and understand the communication style and personality of an individual.
How does it work?
It assesses things like language choice, tone, and sentence structure to provide insights into how that person typically communicates. For example, it can tell you if they are more direct or indirect, more formal or casual, and whether they tend to use positive or negative language. It also shows their propensity for risk!
Why is it useful?
If your client is active on LinkedIn and you don’t know them that well it will give you an idea of their communication style and how to best interact with them and strengthen your rapport. So check if your clients are active online and give it a go!
2. Poised.com
What is it?
An app that uses AI to analyse speech patterns and facial expressions to provide real-time feedback on your communication skills during virtual meetings.
How does it work?
After your meeting, the app will tell you about your use of filler words, your energy levels, eye contact, tone, pace and whether you’ve rambled! With audio and video transcripts of your meetings, you’ll also be able to review more subtle communication moments, like facial expressions and non-inclusive language.
Why is it useful?
It’s like having your own personal coach who gives you feedback privately without anyone knowing and it’ll help you improve your ability to communicate virtually.
I’ve been using it for over three weeks now and love it! I receive a report about how well I did. Here’s a snapshot of what I get after calls which have been very helpful!:
3. ChatGPT
What is it?
You are probably already all over this but this is how it describes itself: ‘Chat GPT is designed to generate human-like text responses in a conversational context, such as in a chatbot or virtual assistant application. It is trained to understand context and generate appropriate responses to prompts.’
How does it work?
Ask it anything. Literally. And you’ll get a very informed response. Social media is buzzing with it right now. You can check out this Twitter thread for how to use ChatGPT in social media.
Why is it useful?
For account managers, firstly it’s useful to help you prepare for conversations or draft emails to clients. For example, rather than drawing a blank, it’ll give you a starter for 10 for how to start your explanation to a client for a delay in delivery:
Let me know in the comments section below, which ones you’ve tried and what you think!
Nice post Jenny. I would love to meet with you and chat about these options.
